Shea DeAnda McCaslin

Shea DeAnda McCaslin is a Director with ALZA Strategies.

ALZA Strategies offers traditional services in media relations, crisis communication, grassroots and public affairs. ALZA also offers specific attention to outreach into California’s growing Latino market.

Prior to coming to ALZA Strategies, McCaslin served as a special projects intern for Oakland City Council, planning community events, conducting research and carrying out community outreach tasks.

In addition, McCaslin served as a campaign field manager for Rodriguez Strategies, a full-service public affairs firm based in Los Angeles. She helped train new canvassers on campaign message points and how to interact with a diverse group of voters.

McCaslin previously worked as Head of Interns for the SHARE Institute, a non-profit that works collaboratively with local and global partner organizations to improve the health and well being of women and families. In that capacity, she recruited interns, developed project fundraising ideas, managed events and reviewed international and domestic NGO grant proposals. She also traveled to Nicaragua to work with SHARE partner Compas de Nicaragua on micro-financing projects.

McCaslin also interned for Dr. Richard Pan for Assembly, participating in voter contact activities, including walking precincts, phone contact, and electronic communication.

McCaslin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and Associate of Arts degrees in Political Science; International Relations; and Social Science from American River College.
